BMW

As you can see, this is my second blog about cars. Yes indeed, I’m a huge fan of cars. Being interested in cars and how they work, which models and options they offer is not rare, but as a girl, it is uncommon. This second car blog is about BMW, also a German vehicle brand. German automobiles are known as the best cars in the world. Some examples of German brands of vehicles: Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz and BMW.

As one of the best vehicle brands in the world, BMW has also an own environmental efficiency label, namely “EfficientDynamics”. It stands for the noticeable reduction of consumption and emissions with a simultaneous increase in performance and driving pleasure. It’s a combination of intelligent energy management, lightweight construction, aerodynamics and engine efficiency measures. This EfficientDynamics is standard in every BMW.

e-drive

They describe the e-drive as an intelligent and dynamic way to drive electrically. They say it’s A completely new dimension of driving pleasure: the drive concept BMW eDrive boasts impressive dynamics and, when driven in purely electrical mode, is emission-free locally. The newly-developed synchronous electric motor dazzles with enormous torque that remains constant from acceleration to maximum speed to have a sustainable mobility with overwhelming agility. So with that being said, we can summarize that E-drive is very green and environmentally friendly.

But there is a problem. If you take a look at the electric cars that they offer, called the i-line, you can see that they are futuristic. For me, that’s the point where I lose my interest. BMW i goes a step further in comparison with Mercedes-Benz: BMW i develops a completely new, futuristic line of vehicles for electro mobility. They describe their line as an asset, but if you take a look on the streets, you can see that futuristic cars aren’t that popular. The whole idea behind this is great, to drive emission-free. But it is the shape of that car that withholds the potential customers.
