The Disadvantages of Going
Green for a Company
We know that there are a lot of benefits if
your company decides to go green. You can read all about it if you click this

What if we looked at sustainable marketing with a negative view? There are drawbacks to the green movement. Businesses need to be realistic and check all the standpoints.
Cost
The usage of green products can cost a lot,
often more than using conventional materials. You need to calculate every
change that you want to make, and see if it the costs will add up with the
extra value.
Increased Ozone
It is not because you have a green product,
that it’s completely harmless. If we take a look at the latest technology that
almost every business likes; green company cars.
Green cars use different fuels so it
reduces the level of harmful chemicals released into the atmosphere. That is
off course a good thing. But those same green cars, which are powered by the
green fuel “E85”, produces more ozone than regular gasoline.
Time
There is a lot of time needed to do the
research how you’ll make your company greener. You need to have good personnel
who are properly instructed and familiar with the advantages and disadvantages
of green materials and products.
Urban disadvantages
If the company decides to switch to solar
panels, they need to take into account that solar panels need large areas to be
effective.
2 other important things are the fact that
high buildings in the city can block the sun for other companies and that solar
panels only work optimal when the weather is sunny.
I think that a lot of companies are not aware of the
fact that “being green” isn’t always as good as it sounds. It’s important to
look at all sides when you are considering going green to determine the end
cost and value of the process.
